Greetings from Spain! Senior researcher, assoc.professor, Dr.sc.ing. Andina Sprince and her collegue Dr.sc.ing. Liga Gaile is participating in HEAd’19 conference on Higher Education Advances (June 25-28, 2019). This conference is an excellent forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, experiences, opinions and research results relating to the preparation of students, teaching/learning methodologies and the organization of educational systems.


November 15, 2019 our team members T.Kozlovskis and R.Gailitis participated in the training seminar “Calculations of reinforced concrete structures”, which was organized by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia.

I am very proud of my colleagues (Dr.sc.ing. A.Sprince and M.sc.ing. R.Gailitis) who participated in the annual career education program SHADOW DAY 2020, organized by the business education organization Junior Achievement Latvia. This was an opportunity for 5 young people to “shadow” the representatives of our project and spend 6 hours to see the day-to-day work of the scientist/civil engineer profession. We are truly excited to share our knowledge not only with other scientists or students, but also with pupils who are trying to understand what they want to study in the future
P.S. It should be mentioned, that dr.sc.ing. Andina Sprince has participated not only in Shadow Day for youth but also in Profession Week with report about the researcher’s profession in kindergarten “Cirulitis” for children, representing two different age groups in Ogre, Latvia, February 11, 2019.
