Searched for new codes!

The items you carry around with you in Pokémon Go are extremely valuable, giving you a chance to revive your Pokémon after a battle or catch new ones. There’s little you can do in the game without them, making visits to PokéStops vital. Every little bit helps, and a good way to receive them outside of visiting Gyms and PokéStops is to redeem codes. These codes rarely make their way into the game, but you’ll want to add their rewards to your account when they do.

All available Pokémon GO promo codes

The available promotional codes vary each month, much like the offered items. While they are available, some of them are only capable of you turning in for a limited time, which is not always clear. If you are an Amazon Prime member, we recommend visiting the Pokémon Go Prime Gaming page every two weeks to receive an exclusive bundle for your account.

GOFEST2024 — Redeem for a Premium Battle Pass and Incubator (Use in web store with purchase) (New)

CAPTAINPIKACHU — Redeem to activate the encounter

0HY0UF0UNDM3 — Redeem for the Research for a Shiny Rotom

FENDIxFRGMTxPOKEMON — Redeem for FENDI x FRGMT x POKÉMON hoodie for your avatar

While the game initially featured two different methods for redeeming codes (for iOS and Android users), the developer has transitioned to using only the code redemption webpage. If you’re not sure how to claim your freebies, you can follow the instructions below regardless of which device you’re playing on:

Open the official Offer Redemption webpage.

Sign in using your Pokémon GO credentials.

Enter your code into the text field below Enter offer code and hit Apply.

Open the app and claim your freebies.

With a new season in Pokemon GO comes a new season in the GO Battle League, and the World of Wonders is no exception. When the new season begins, we’ll have a new series of tournament events and bonuses in the GO Battle League as well.

The Go Battle League lets players compete to increase their rank, and that rank resets at the start of a new season. That means trainers will want to get to battling when the new World of Wonders season begins in the GO Battle League if they want to climb up the ranks. Here’s a look at the GO Battle League tournament schedule and updates for this coming season in Pokemon GO.

When the new season in Pokemon GO begins on March 1, players can expect the following start-of-season updates in the GO Battle League:

Players will receive their end-of-season rewards for the prior season from the battle screen

All trainers’ ranks in the GO Battle League will be reset

A new season is coming in Pokemon GO, and Niantic just released the first details on what we can expect from the World of Wonders. Per usual, we’ll see some new Pokemon debuts, featured Pokemon for the season, and other surprises throughout the next few months.

When we got the first teaser for the World of Wonders season in Pokemon GO, fans were a bit skeptical given the inclusion of only Kanto Pokemon. However, it looks like the season won’t focus just on Gen 1, with featured Pokemon from across the generations involved in the event. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about the next season in Pokemon GO.

The Special Research story for the World of Wonders season in Pokemon GO will feature the Ultra Beast Pokemon, Poipole.

According to Niantic, players will “be able to adventure and bond” with this Pokemon across the season. The new Special Research story will be available starting on March 1 and players can claim it at any point until the season ends on June 1.

With the changing of the seasons in Pokemon GO, we get an influx of different Pokemon appearing as encounter rewards for Field Research. Field Research tasks for the World of Wonders season in Pokemon GO will lead to encounters with these Pokemon:

Hisuian Sneasel

Furfrou

Goomy

Sandygast

Jangmo-O

Dubwool

Of these, only the first three can currently be Shiny in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon GO World of Wonders Featured Pokemon in Wild Encounters

We’ll also see some turnover in terms of the Pokemon that appear in wild encounters across different areas. There’s a lot to cover here, so let’s break it out by the different areas so you know where to go to hunt for all those Pokemon we haven’t seen in a little while.

Area

New Seasonal Pokemon Encounters

Cities

Togetic
Gardevoir
Delcatty*
Gulpin
Stunky
Purrloin
Scraggy

Forests

Jumpluff*
Absol
Elgyem
Phantump
Dewpider
Fomantis
Pawmi*

Mountains

Magcargo*
Phanpy
Nosepass
Medicham
Duskull
Carbink*
Noibat

Beaches / Water

Quaqsire*
Shuckle
Surskit
Clamperl
Inkay
Clauncher
Tadbulb*

Northern Hemisphere

Hisuian Growlithe
Mawile
Bagon
Snivy
Tepig
Oshawott
Litleo

Southern Hemisphere

Hisuian Voltorb
Chikorita
Cyndaquil
Totodile
Skarmory
Larvitar
Electrike

Pokemon indicated with an asterisk can’t be Shiny, but all the rest are game for your Shiny hunting goals. Every area has “and more!” listed, which means Niantic is keeping a few Pokemon encounter surprises in store for trainers.

Egg-hatching fans, we’ve got some new options for what will hatch from those eggs during the World of Wonders season. Let’s break it down by the egg distance.

During Pokemon Presents, Pokemon GO fans finally got the news about our first event for March 2024. It’s a collaboration celebrating the US launch of the Pokemon Horizons anime, and we’re getting Pokemon debuts!

The Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event in Pokemon GO will bring us into the new World of Wonders season with some Paldea Pokemon debuts, event bonuses, and a few surprises Niantic has yet to announce.

When is the Pokemon GO Pokemon Horizons Celebration Event?

The Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event in Pokemon GO will take place from March 6 – March 11 from 10 AM to 8 PM local time.

This date overlaps with the much delayed US release of the Pokemon Horizons series on Netflix, which means fans in the US will get to enjoy the anime for the first time during this event.

All Pokemon Debuts During the Pokemon GO Pokemon Horizons Celebration Event

Image via Niantic

Unsurprisingly, the debut Pokemon for this event come from the Paldea region, which is where the Pokemon Horizons anime takes place. Our Pokemon debuts are:

Charcadet

Armarouge

Ceruledge

In addition to these debuts, we’ll also get yet another new Pikachu costume, with Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat making its way to the app. This Pikachu will also know a special new Charged Attack called Volt Tackle.

Featured Wild Encounter Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Pokemon Horizons Event

In addition to the Paldea Pokemon debuts, we’ll see other Paldea Pokemon and a few critters from other gens appearing more frequently in wild encounters. The featured Pokemon from the Pokemon Horizons anime are:

Scyther

Nosepass

Spirgatito

Fuecoco

Quaxly

Pawmi

Pikachu in Cap’s hat

Alolan Grimer

Beldum

All of these Pokemon do have Shiny versions in Pokemon GO.

Niantic notes that we can also hatch “the usual Pokemon available in those eggs for the season.” Of course, we don’t yet know what Pokemon will be featured during the World of Wonders season, so that statement is a bit vague as of now.

Pokemon GO Pokemon Horizons Celebration Event Bonuses

During the event, Pokemon GO fans will enjoy the following in-game bonuses:

Double XP for hatching Pokemon

More frequent Team GO Rocket Balloons

Compared to some events, these aren’t the biggest bonuses, but as a rural player whose only chance for at-home interaction is the Team GO Rocket Balloon that hovers near my house, I am excited.

Raids During the Pokemon GO Pokemon Horizons Celebration Event

Rhyhorn

Rockruff

Of these, only Chansey can currently be Shiny in Pokemon GO.

Field Research Encounters for the Pokemon GO Pokemon Horizons Event

Event-themed Field Research tasks will feature as part of the Pokemon Horizons: The Series celebration event in Pokemon GO. These tasks will lead to encounters with several featured Pokemon, including:

Golduck

Skarmory

Rockruff

In addition to all the featured Pokemon, raids, and more, this event will also include PokeStop Showcases for certain event Pokemon.

Trainers who take a snapshot during the event may also get a “surprise encounter” featuring characters and Pokemon from the anime, including our new protagonists Liko and Roy.

Finally, fans can purchase a special Ultra Legend Box from the Pokemon GO Web Store during the event. For a whopping $14.99 USD, trainers can get three Remote Raid passes, ten Premium Battle Passes, and ten incubators. This bundle doesn’t appear to be available in the in-app store.

Fans of the Pokemon franchise know that Pokemon Day is a major event. On February 27 of every year, we celebrate all things Pokemon, and that typically includes some big announcements for what’s to come for the year ahead.

As Pokemon Day 2024 gets closer, the Pokemon Company has begun sharing some of their plans for this annual celebration of all things Pokemon. From celebrations in person and online to exclusive merch and announcements, Pokemon Day is already looking like the jam-packed Pokemon celebration we all anticipate.

As we learn more about all the ways Pokemon fans can celebrate the franchise in real life, we’ll update this section with all the info you need to take part.

New York City Celebrations for Pokemon Day

The Pokemon Company has announced that the Empire State Building in New York City will be lit up in Pokemon colors on Pokemon Day 2024 to celebrate the day and get fans hyped for Pokemon Horizons to launch on March 7.

Some fans have taken this as confirmation that we’re getting Unova remakes this year, but either way, it’ll be fun to see some Pokemon colors in NYC.

Play Pokemon! Event Celebrations

Participating Play! Pokemon stores across the U.S. will be hosting Pokemon Day celebrations on February 27. The exact events vary slightly by location, but will likely include gathering with other Pokemon fans to play the Trading Card Game, Pokemon GO, and Pokemon video games.

There will also be some promo item giveaways such as Pikachu Moods figures, TCG merchandise, and other fun Pokemon treats. You can check if there’s a participating store near you at the Event Locator from the Pokemon Website.

Image via The Pokemon Company

So far, we haven’t had any major news about how Pokemon fans can celebrate the day online, unless you count attending the Pokemon Presents presentation.

However, the Pokemon social media channels have been full of little reminders that Pokemon Day is coming. This includes a series of Pokemon-inspired art that is being posted every day this week, in the lead-up to Pokemon Day next week.

You can follow along with this countdown art series, which includes images inspired by various Pokemon properties like Pokemon EX Masters, Pokemon Unite, and the Pokemon Horizons anime, on X.

We all know Pokemon GO loves its events, so there’s bound to be some options for trainers to celebrate Pokemon Day 2024 in the app.

In conjunction with the lighting of the Empire State Building, Pokemon GO fans in New York City will enjoy a local in-game event to celebrate Pokemon Day 2024. This will include special Timed Research tasks that lead to rewards including, of course, a special Pikachu in a party hat. There will also be event-themed PokeStops near the Empire State Building throughout the day on February 27.

We don’t yet know if and how Pokemon GO fans outside New York will be invited to celebrate, but we’ll keep you updated when we find out more.

On February 26, Niantic released a teaser trailer for the upcoming World of Wonders season, which starts on March 1. Very few details were included, so we may expect to hear more about the upcoming season during Pokemon Presents. Whether this will include anything exciting for the day of, we don’t yet know.

Pokemon Day 2024 Exclusive Trading Card

Image via The Pokemon Company

Is it really a Pokemon celebration without trading cards? Celebrating Pokemon Day 2024 will yet again include an exclusive Pokemon card for fans to collect.

Pokemon fans who shop online at The Pokemon Center starting on February 23 2024 will receive a special Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates Ceruledge card with a Pokemon Day 2024 stamp. This is a gift with purchase and will be available through March 23 or (more likely) until supplies last. To receive the card, you will need to enter the code pday2024 at checkout.

The Pokemon Day 2024 promo card is also available at select retailers, such as GameStop, BestBuy, etc. The Pokemon Company doesn’t appear to have released an official list of participating retailer, so check in with the stores near you to see if they’re carrying the card.

Pokemon Day 2024 Celebrations in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Image via The Pokemon Company

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will celebrate Pokemon by featuring our favorite critters that are shaped like PokeBalls in mass outbreaks across Paldea.

Voltorb, Foongus, and Hisuian Voltorb mass outbreaks started on February 22 and will continue through 4 PM PST on Pokemon Day 2024. Hisuian Voltorb doesn’t typically appear in the game, so it’s a good chance to log in and grab something you can’t normally get.

Pokemon Day 2024 Announcements

Image via The Pokemon Company

Of course, the big thing many fans look forward to with Pokemon Day each year is the announcement of upcoming Pokemon video games and what’s next for other aspects of the franchise like the anime and trading card game.

While many theories about what’s coming next for the video game series abound, The Pokemon Company has yet to confirm any rumors of what we’ll hear during the Pokemon Presents on February 27.

Many Pokemon Go fans naturally expected an announcement from Niantic as the Sinnoh Tour ends and Pokemon Day approaches. However, the new teaser about the upcoming World of Wonders season has many fans confused.

This morning, the Pokemon Go app pinged us all with an update about the World of Wonders season. To say the update was brief is a bit of an understatement, since the news bulletin regarding the new season is two short sentences: “It’s a wonderful world. Let’s rediscover it together.” This coincided with a tweet from @PokemonGO on X with a short teaser about the new season, and fans have some questions.

In their post to X, Pokemon Go shared a short trailer for the upcoming World of Wonders season, which includes familiar Gen 1 Pokemon such as Nidoran and Butterfree.

Given that the most recent season was themed around the Sinnoh region, many Pokemon fans undoubtedly expected future seasons to keep moving forward through the generations. That has us all feeling a bit surprised to see these original Pokemon from the Kanto region in the World of Wonders season preview.

While some fans are enthusiastic about what a new season could bring, others are a bit concerned about the apparent theme. “I hope it’s not three months of only Kanto Pokemon” says one fan, while another jokes “Nidoran and Pidgey community day incoming.”

The new season is set to begin on March 1, so we won’t be waiting too long for additional details about what’s in store. As much as we love the original 151, many early Pokemon Go fans still have memories of just how many Pidgey were around in the early days, and I’m not sure anyone wants (or needs) to revisit that experience.

Given that this is just a short preview and no other details have been released, there could well be some surprises in store for the upcoming Pokemon Go World of Wonders season even with the familiar characters in this brief sneak peek. The mysterious purple energy that appears in the sky suggests there’s a bit more here than initially meets the eye.

With Pokemon Day on the horizon and the start of the World of Wonders season so close, we’ll likely learn more in the days to come. Until then, let’s all cross our fingers for something a little more exciting than three million Pidgeys to send to the professor like the old days.

One day ahead of the Global Pokemon Go Tour Sinnoh, fans got a notification announcing “a gift for you!” in the app. With anticipation high for the tour itself, fans were eager to see what this exciting new freebie might be.

And then we all opened our notification and immediate collective disappointment ensued. Fans are underwhelmed with the latest free offering from Niantic, and as always, we’re ready to have a laugh about it. No, it’s not a single potion and Poke Ball like that daily free gift tends to be, but it’s honestly pretty close.

Related: How to Unlock Ghost in the Machine Rotom Research in Pokemon Go

Fans Thrilled to Get One Whole Silver Pinap Berry and An Entire Rare Candy

With so much of Pokemon GO being paid access these days, we’re not saying no to more free stuff in the game. That said, many fans were less than impressed with this latest offering, which consists of a Silver Pinap Berry and a single Rare Candy.

New code is amazing
byu/Sistermon inpokemongo

The /PokemonGO Reddit has quite a few posts like this one from Sistermon, joking about just how generous this latest free gift has been.

“Wow, a whole rare candy!” says one response, as if they can’t quite get over the shock of something so valuable being offered up for free. And while we’re never going to say no to Rare Candy, this one is a little bit small compared with other gifts that require codes to redeem.

Some folks in the PoGO Reddit are saying it’s not worth the trouble it takes to redeem codes in Pokemon GO these days, now that the app doesn’t reliably support code redemption. That said, if you’re like me and can’t say no to a free thing, you can redeem the code GOTOURBONUS in the Pokemon GO web store and get your very own single rare candy and silver Pinap berry.

Admittedly, this gift does seem a little bit of an odd fit when the notification comes with the tagline “just in time for Pokemon GO Tour Sinnoh-Global!” There are many things I’d consider helpful in preparing for the weekend-long event with all its raids and wild Pokemon to catch, but I wouldn’t exactly say Pinap Berries and Rare Candy are high on the list. Some Ultra Balls, maybe? A free incubator or two to hatch all those Sinnoh eggs?

Of course, it’s (mostly) in good fun to laugh at Niantic’s idea of an exciting free gift for players, as free stuff is still free stuff, and we will probably use that silver pinap berry during the Go Tour Global event. Even so, fans are definitely hoping the rest of Pokemon GO Sinnoh Tour Global weekend has more exciting things in store.

Players used to have two options to redeem codes in Pokemon GO, but Niantic recently announced that in-app code redemption is no longer supported for Android users. But don’t worry, trainers, it’s still possible to redeem codes to get free promotional items via the Pokemon GO web store.

Each month, there are a handful of free goodies that trainers can redeem for Pokemon GO, from avatar items to special research. However, the recent changes to how codes can be redeemed have made this a little more confusing for players. Let’s review how to redeem codes in the Pokemon GO web store so you never miss a freebie.

Related: All Pokémon Go promo codes (February 2024)

How to Redeem Codes in Pokemon GO

Once upon a time, players could redeem codes directly in the “Shop” section of the Pokemon GO app. Niantic has officially announced they’re removing this feature for Android users, but it seems like they may be moving away from this option altogether.

In the last few weeks, I’ve consistently been unable to enter codes in the in-app store even on my iPhone, which means I had to hop over to the Pokemon GO web store to get ahold of that Ghost in the Machine Rotom Phone research.

So, it seems like the most reliable way to redeem codes in Pokemon GO moving forward will be the Web Store. If you’re new to doing things this way, let’s go over how to get it done.

How to Redeem Codes in the Pokemon GO Web Store

While it’s a bit of a pain not to be able to redeem codes in the app, using the Pokemon GO web store is fairly straightforward.

First things first, you’ll want to head over to the Pokemon GO web store in a browser. I like to do it from my computer, but you should be able to use the browser on your phone if you’re out and about.

Once you’re there, you should see the words “Offer Redemption” at the top righthand of the website banner. If you’re on mobile, you’ll need to hit the three horizontal lines next to “Sign In,” which will pull the Offer Redemption option.

Screenshot by Gamepur

From here, you’ll need to sign in to your Pokemon GO account if you haven’t already. This may be the trickiest part of the process if you don’t remember your account info, so we’ll walk you through how to locate that info in the next section.

Once you’re logged in, the process is fairly simple. On the Offer Redemption screen, you’ll see your trainer information and an empty text box labeled “Enter Offer Code.” Type in the code you’re trying to redeem and hit “apply.”

Screenshot by Gamepur

You will get a confirmation that the redemption was successful, and the item or research path should automatically appear in your Pokemon GO game the next time you log in. My phone usually pings with a notification right away confirming that I redeemed a code.

How to Locate Your Account Info in Pokemon GO

What if you don’t remember which account your Pokemon GO game is linked to? We’ve all been there, but luckily you can check this in your app. To find your account info, open up the Pokemon GO app and click on the PokeBall icon in the middle of your screen to open the menu.

On the top right, you should see a little gear icon and the word “Settings.” Click on this, and you’ll see a variety of gameplay options and information.

Screenshot by Gamepur

The second menu will have a section labeled “Account,” which is what we’re looking for. When you click on this, you’ll be able to see your username and any linked accounts that you have used to log in to Pokemon GO.

This should let you know whether you connected to the app via Google (and which email you used), Apple, Facebook, or the Pokemon Trainer Club. These are the same options you’ll use to log in to the Pokemon GO web store, so simply click the same option to log in and you should be able to redeem codes for free goodies in the app.

Players at the Los Angeles event for Pokemon Go Tour Sinnoh had a mystery to solve, unlocking the code for a special Ghost in the Machine research path. Now that the code has been revealed, players around the world can catch Rotom in Pokemon Go for the first time.

The Ghost in the Machine Special Research unlocked during the LA Sinnoh Tour allows players to catch Rotom’s Normal Form in Pokemon Go. And yes, that includes Shiny Rotom. We’ve got a few days to unlock the code and complete the research to catch Rotom.

Related: Is the Pokemon Go Paid Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude Ticket Worth It?

What is the Ghost in the Machine Special Research?

The Ghost in the Machine Special Research debuted as part of the Los Angeles Sinnoh Tour event, but is now available globally from February 16 through February 25 2024. This is a timed research, meaning you will no longer be able to complete it or catch Rotom in Pokemon Go after this research ends, at least for now.

Ghost in the Machine is a relatively short research path with just one task, leading to an encounter with Rotom Normal Form in Pokemon Go. The research is free but must be unlocked with a special code that was revealed during the LA event.

How to Redeem the Ghost in the Machine Special Research Code

Screenshot by Gamepur

To unlock the special research and catch Rotom, players must redeem the special code on the Pokemon GO Web Store offer redemption page. The code for Ghost in the Machine is: 0HY0UF0UNDM3

Before you can redeem the code, you’ll need to log in to the Web Store with your Pokemon Go account, so be sure to have that information handy. Once you’re there, simply type the code into the redemption area and hit “Apply.”

This will automatically add the Special Research to your account, and you should hear your Pokemon Go app ding with a notification right away. Head to the Events tab in your research menu and you should see the Ghost in the Machine Special Research tasks on your list.

Ghost in the Machine Tasks For An Encounter with Rotom

Screenshot by Gamepur

Unlike some event research tasks, the Global Unlock for Ghost in the Machine is just one task, which players have about six days to complete. To get some XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Rotom, you will need to catch 30 Pokemon from the Sinnoh region.

Since Sinnoh Pokemon will be the focus of the Pokemon Go Tour Sinnoh Global event on February 24 and 25, this shouldn’t be too challenging for players to complete. Once you tick off this task, you’ll get an encounter with Rotom and a chance to catch it. While the chances aren’t boosted, you could encounter a Shiny Rotom if you’re lucky.

If there’s one thing Pokemon Go players love, it’s hunting for Shiny Pokemon. The latest paid research released with Pokemon Go Sinnoh Tour includes a guaranteed Shiny Shaymin once you complete the entire research path.

Along with the start of the Road to Sinnoh event in Pokemon Go, trainers have the option to add on a paid ticket for Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude. This paid research offers a variety of rewards, including that coveted encounter with Shiny Shaymin. But is it actually worth the price?

The Glimmers of Gratitude research ticket is available starting on February 19 2024 and will end on February 25, 2024 at 8 PM local time. The end date for ticket sales aligns with the end of Pokemon Go Tour Sinnoh Global.

A ticket for the paid Masterwork Research costs $4.99 USD or local equivalent and can be purchased or gifted through the Pokemon Go in-app store.

In the past, Masterwork Research tasks for Pokemon Go did not expire, unlike many other paid research tasks. However, it is currently unclear if this will remain true for the Glimmers of Gratitude research path.

As of now, the Pokemon Go in-app store states “Timed Research will expire at the end time listed above” for the Glimmers of Gratitude ticket. This makes it seem as if players will only have a week to complete the tasks, which would be a departure from previous Masterwork Research tasks. This is likely a holdover from other, similar ticketed research events, as Masterwork Research is intended to have no time limit.

Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude Rewards

Image via Niantic

As you complete the tasks for the Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude, you’ll get the following rewards:

10 Candies for: Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Shaymin

10,548 XP and 9,840 Stardust

Trainers Above Level 31 receive 2 Rare Candy XL and 3 Rare Candies, while trainers at Level 30 or below receive 5 Rare Candies

60 Ultra Balls

3 Rocket Radars

1 Lure Module, 1 Mossy Lure Module, and 1 Glacial Lure Module

2 Incense

An encounter with Shiny Shaymin

Niantic also adds an “and more” to the end of the rewards description, meaning there may be some other bonuses not listed here

This is a pretty decent haul as far as rewards go, particularly given the guaranteed encounter with a Shiny Pokemon. However, in order to actually reap all of these rewards, players will need to be able to finish all of the research tasks.

Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude Tasks

So, how feasible is it that you’ll be able to work your way through the research tasks and get all of the rewards for the paid Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude? This research focuses heavily on catching a ton of Pokemon, so if you’re not planning to be somewhere with lots of PokeStops and wild encounters, it’s going to be a tough ask.

The first set of tasks for Glimmers of Gratitude include:

Catch 492 Pokemon from the Kanto region

Catch 492 Pokemon from the Johto region

Catch 492 Pokemon from the Hoenn region

Catch 492 Pokemon from the Sinnoh region

This set of tasks will earn you the candies for Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Frankly, this doesn’t seem like a very even match between ask and reward, and going on this alone I’d personally be hesitant to buy the paid ticket since I live in a rural area without a ton of wild encounters.

If you enjoy having something to work towards over a longer period of time or plan to go hard during the Sinnoh Tour Global, it may well be worth your while. However, it would take a long time for anyone who isn’t frequently in locations with plenty of PokeStops and wild Pokemon, so that’s something to consider when debating the ticket purchase.

The second set of tasks are:

Catch 10 Grass-Type Pokemon

Catch a Pokemon 5 days in a row

Catch a Pokemon on 15 different days

These are a bit more manageable but again will take some time and consistent Pokemon Go play to achieve. If you’re someone who opens the app daily and has Pokemon nearby to catch, these tasks should be doable and will lead you to the second set of rewards.

Details for the third-seventh set of tasks are not yet available as players work their way through catching hundreds of Pokemon from every region to unlock what’s next. We’ll update when we know more.

It’s safe to say that if this research does expire as the in-app store currently suggests, it will not be worth the price. However, if it turns out to follow the pattern of previous Pokemon Go Masterwork Research with no time limit on completing the tasks, it would be a better proposition for players who’d like to earn the rewards over time and eventually get their hands on an adorable Shiny Shaymin.
